The young Orthodox rabbi at- tended the Rabbi Isaac Elconin Theological Seminary and did graduate work at Columbia Uni- versity, He was ordained in 1937. Presently Rabbi Adams is doing work for a PhD in sociology. He is affiliated with the Zion- ist movement, of which he for- merly was a member of the executive committee of the Zion- ist District and American Zionist policy committee; a member of the executive of Synagogue Council of America; member of the division of religious activities of the Jewish Welfare Board. He served as a member of the Jersey City Planning Committee, and is now on the Civil Rights Committee and .consultant to New Jersey's governor on the state Youth Conference. In 1950, Rabbi Adams received the Yeshiva University award, given to the student or graduate or other individual ,who has worked most to promote the Jewish faith. The musical portion of the program will be under the di- rection of Cantor Hyman J. Adler.
