THE ETERNAL LIGHT
Time: 8 a. -n.., Sunday, Feb. 8.
Station: WWJ.
Feature : The true story of
Eliakum Zunser, 19th century
poet and musician who lived in
Eastern Europe will be told in
"The Minstrel. of His People."

The Music Study Club will
present Ruth Meckler, pianist,
at its annual Gwladys Luloff
Memorial Concert on Feb. 17, at
the Art Institute. Miss Meckler
was the 1952 winner of the
Gwladys Luloff scholarship.
The concert is given each year
to honor the memory of Miss
Luloff, who was an outstanding
Detroit pianist and teacher.
Miss Luloff travelled all over
the United States and Europe,
giving concerts, studying and
teaching, and gave demonstra-
tive lectures in all the major
universities in the United States.
Her concerts were by candle-
light, and she wore costumes
reminiscent of the period of
Bach.
It was the ambition of
Gwladys Luloff to perpetuate
the many scholarships which
she herself granted during her
lifetime. After her death, the
scholarship fund was establish-
ed by her parents, friends and
students to carry on her fine
work.
