synagogue social hall.
Miss Snyder, an outstanding
monologuist, actress and crea-
tive story teller, is being pre-
sented here through coopera-
tion with the lecture bureau of
the National Jewish Welfare
Board.

luncheon will precede the pro-
gram, in which Rabbi Jacob E.
Segal and Cantor Nicholas Fen-
akel will participate.

Perfection Lodge Plans
Past Masters' Night

Perfection Lodge, F. & A. M.
will hold its annual past masters
night at a master Mason Degree
banquet at 6:30 p. m., Wednes-
day, according to worshipful
master Julian S. Tobias.
Harry Zausmer, P. M., will be
master of ceremonies, introduc-
ing several past masters of the
Lodge, who, together with all the
brothers, will pay special honor
to Harry Lichter, who was wor-
shipful master last year.
After the,banquet, the master
Mason Degree will be exempli-
fied in the long form by the
degree team of Perfection Lodge
with Lichter in the principal
role.

Pioneer Women Launch
Membership Campaign

Mrs. Ben Harold, membership
chairman of the Detroit Council
of Pioneer Women, announced
that the organization has begun
its 1953 membership campaign.
Bess Spanner, a former na-
tional field representative of PW
and now a resident of Israel,
will speak at individual meetings
of all loyal groups to aid in the
recruiting effort. Mrs. Spanner;
who currently works with Moat-
zot Hapoalot, sister organization
of Pioneer Women. in Israel, will
be in Detroit from Feb. 2 to 7.
She will speak on the work of.
Moatzot Hapoalot in maintain-
ing children's homes, day nurse-
ries, immigrant - rehabilitation
centers, vocational and trade
