Mr. and Mrs. Jack N. Joslove, of Steel Ave., have returned home
following a. month's vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cohen, of Tyler Ave., recently celebrated
their 47th wedding anniversary at a family party. The occasion also
marked Mr. Cohen's 71st birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Green and son, Max, formerly of Tyler Ave.,
are now residing in the Addington Apartments, on Cortland Ave.
., Mr. and Mrs. C. Charles Aaronson, of the Sheraton Cadillac
Hotel, have left on a nine-month vacation in Europe, Asia, Africa
and Israel. In London, they will be guests of the American Embassy
at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. On their return they will re-
side on W. Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills.
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Tobin, of Lincolnshire Dr., will leave on Jan.
29 for a two-month stay at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, in Honolulu.
Mrs. Bernard Kaufman, of Birwood Ave., and Mrs. Julius Fein-
man, of Fairway Dr., left recently for a six-month stay in Los
Angeles, Calif.
Dr. and Mrs. Ted Winshall and son, of 1'7210 James Couzens,
have returned home following a month's vacation in Miami Beadh,
Fla.
Shayna Parzen was recently honored at a surprise sweet
sixteen party given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Parzen, at
the Elmwood Casino. Her host was Donald Zimmerman.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kraemer, of Kraemer's Olympia Hotel
and Mineral Baths, Mt. Clemens, are currently visiting Miami
Beach, Fla., where they are guests at Rosner's Hotel Good.
Gershen Konikow, Detroit-born pianist appeared earlier this
month in recital, sponsored by the National Guild of Piano Teach-
ers, at Steinway Hall, New York. Mr. Konikow was the 1952 re-
cipient of the Guild's International Recording Festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Salinsky and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kushner
recently entertained their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D.
Shiffman, of 18034 Birchcrest, with a surprise party in honor of
their 25th wedding anniversary. One hundred guests attended
the dinner, held at the Sheraton Cadillac Hotel:
Mr. and Mrs. William Resnick recently entertained 45 guests
at a buffet dinner, honoring the double occasion of the birth of
their third son and moving into their new, residence at 17357
Washburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Levy, formerly of Pasadena Ave., are win-
tering in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
Madame Paul Paray will be honored at an at-home at the
residence of Mrs. Eugene J. Arnfeld, 1890 Strathcona Drive, at
2. p.m., today. The gathering is for the purpose of forming the
pre-campaign committee of the 1953 Allied Jewish Campaign
Women's Division. Mrs. Henry Wineman, honorary chairman,
with Mrs. Abraham Cooper of the Women's Division Campaign,
will preside. Contributing to the discussion of plans will be Mrs.
Lewis B. Daniels, Campaign chairman, and Mrs. Joseph H. Ehr-
lich, senior adviser. Other campaign leaders are Mrs. Arnfeld,
chairman of pre-campaign, Mrs. Ivor J. Kahn, executive vice-
chairman of pre-campaign, Mesdames Harry Becker, I. Jerome
Hauser, Philip Lipson and Melville S. Welt, pre-campaign vice-
chairmen, and Mrs. Ben L. Silberstein and Mrs. James Wineman,
secretaries of pre-campaign.

Mrs. Sperka 'to Speak
At Hadassab Meeting

Mrs. Joshua Sperka will speak
on "Israeli Women in Arts and
Sciences" as the final speaker
in the education series spon-
sored by Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah.
The meeting is scheduled for
10:30 a. m., Tuesday, at Adas
Shaloni Synagogue. Mrs.' Albert
Elazar and Mrs. Max Chomsky,
education co-chairmen, urge the
public- to attend.
Mrs. Carl Schiller, 'general

Last Sunday the Mercury and
Capri staffs held a skating party
at Barbara and France8 Levin's
farm. Among those who attend-
ed were: Anne Neufeld, Al Ly-
ness, Mitch Glassman, Myron
Laban, Barbara Rich, Rena Fei-
gelman, 'Janice Glickstein, Joel
Gottlieb, Joan Weisberg, Jeff
Moore, Warren Wolfe, Jim Haar-
laer, Lenny Salle, Barbara Heav-
enrich, Lorelei • Sekman, and
Harriett Davis. Mr. and Mrs.
William Davis and Mr. Joseph

Mumford's Parents' Club held
a bake sale Saturday, at the
Federal Store on Six Mile. The
profits will be put into the schol-
arship fund.
This is the weekend seniors
have been waiting for. Early
tomorrow, 4:30 a. m., more than
100 seniors, loaded with skis,
skates, and lunches, will board
buses for the snow trip to Silver
Valley at East Tawas, Mich.
Members of the East Tawas High
School have planned a dance
and other activities for the
Mumfordites.
Recently a senior class party
was held at Beth Aaron Syna-
gogue under the sponsorship of
the senior activity committee,
chairmaned by Paula Stern and
Burt Stillman. Jerry Neff served
as disc jockey.

The 12Bs played hosts to 12As
at the "Snow Shuffle" last Sat-
urday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Jaffe helped plan and make the
affair a success. Ten couples,
parents of 12Bs, chaperoned the
party.
Clifford White, of the speech
department, is casting this year's
senior. play, "Our Town." Parts
have been assigned to Louis
Feigelson, Joel Silver, Benita
Rovin, Beth Rosenberg, Nate
Greene, Rhoda Stamell and
Evelyn Shear, the rest of the
cast yet to be chosen.

Young Zionists to Hear
Talk by Morris Jacobs

With the purpose of meeting
socially and still performing
some useful function in the
community, a group of young
people recently formed the
Young Zionist Club, for men
and women 2,1 to 35.
The group will meet on Wed-
nesday evening, at the Zionist
House, 11345 Linwood. Morris
Jacobs, leader in the Zionist
movement, will be guest speaker.
A social hour will follow.
