In her preface to "Songs to Share," the au-
thor calls attention to the fact that "religious
Jews have always found support in song"; that
"they chanted their prayers, sang their Zemirot,
and intoned their studies." Some of the melodies
in her book are of her own composition.
This song is especially appropriate for Ha-
misha Asar b'Shvat, which occurs on Jan. 31,
