Detroit-born pianist Gershen Konikow last week appeared in a recital at Steinway Hall, New York. The occasion was the annual meeting of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, whose Inter- national Recording Festival contest was won by Mrs. Konikow last May. Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Kramer and daughter; Ellen Ruth, who made their home in Chicago for the last four years, have returned to make their permanent residence in Detroit. They . are temporarily residing at 2932 Calvert. Mr. Kramer was award- ed the Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Chicago Law School two weeks ago. He formerly' was regional director of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds for the West Central Region, with offices in Chicago.
