JERUSALEM—The Israel Cabinet decided to reject completely the Czecho-
slovak note demanding the recall of Dr. Arieh Kubovi, Israel Miniker to Prague,
on charges that he interfered in Czechoslovak affairs and intervened in. a "chal-
lenging and inadmissible" fashion in behalf of the emigration of Czechoslovak
Jews to Israel. It also emphasized that in his eyes Dr. Kubovi, who is now in.
Israel, remains Israel's accredited representative to Prague.

200 Prague. Jews Reported Arrested

LONDON, (JTA)—The security police in Prague are now checking on the back-
ground of all Jews remaining in the Czechoslovak state service, it is reported from
Vienna. Jews who have been connected with thee-Zionist movement or who attempted
to emigrate to Israel will be classified as "suspect" and dismissed from service.
About 200 Jews 'have been arrested in Czechoslovakia in the past two weeks and
were =sent to concentration camps around Morayska-Ostrava without having first been
brought into court. The Paris radio reported that the trial of the two arrested Israel
citizens, Mordecai Oren and Samuel ,Orenstein, as well as that of Edward Goldstueck-
er, former Czech Minister to Israel, will begin in Prague very soon.

New Slant to Czechoslovak Anti-Semitism

WASHINGTON, (JTA)—A new expression of. Czechoslovakian' anti-Semitism was
injected in a Prague broadcast of Dec. 3 in a Greek-language program. The broadcast
said of "the Slansky gang" that "their world culture and Hebraic self-government are
but two sides of the same coin — both under the cover of Wall Street,"

C. MIRIANI examines a specimen of the Bond issue, handed to him
by Rabbi MORRIS ADLER, honorary chairman of the event. Wit-
nesses at the document signing are Mrs. THEODORE BARGMAN,
women's marshal, and SIDNEY M. SHEVITZ, grand marshal, who
will head up the all-day house-to-house campaign to promote the
sate of State of Israel Bonds. It is expected that 2,000 volunteer
workers will participate in the drive on Sunday. Workers will meet
in, the morning at Latin Quarter and will hear appeals, broadcast
from New York by Israel Ambassador to the U. S. Abba Eban and
_Henry Morgenthau, Jr., honorary chairman of the Israel bond drive.
Sunday has been named Detroit Israel Bond Day by Acting Mayor
Louis Miriani, in a special , proclamation release this week. Radio
broadcasts and numerous public events have been arranged to en-
courage country-wide activities for "BIG Day,".*vhich will be ob-
served in 400 communities.

TEL AVIV — Police are investigating an attempt by unidentified persons to burn
the car of the Soviet Minister to Israel. An employee of the legation in Tel Aviv Monday
night noticed a fire under the car. He extinguished the blaze and called the police
who found a can filled with oil under the vehicle. One tire was damaged.
