LONDON, (JTA)—Sir Robert
Waley Cohen, one of Britain's
prominent Jewish figures, died
at his home here after a lengthy
illness, at the age of 75. He was
one of Britain's leading busi-
nessmen and had extensive in-
terests in the oil industry.
Sir Robert was long an active
leader in the Board of Deputies

United Synagogue. Although he
had been attacked for being
an anti-Zionist, Sir Robert had a
lifelong interest in Palestine
and in the work of Jewish col-
onization there. He was a mem-
ber of the Palestine Economic
Corporation board of directors.

transplanted in her friends and
dear ones.
