SCHAEFER BRANCH PTO,
United Hebrew Schools, will hold
a Hanukah games party on Dec.
9 for its membership. A party
for children of the school is
scheduled for Dec. 14. Students
will present a program, which
will include lighting of the
Hanukah candles, and exchang-
ing of gifts. Both programs will
take place , at Ahavas Achim
Synagogue, 19190 Schaefer.

TER, Bnai Brith, will hold a
night of games at 8:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, at the Sheraton Cadil-
lac Hotel. Awards will be pre-

to the Bellefaire Children's
Home in Cleveland. -

volunteers to visit and lead
games with youngsters at the

the hospital later in the month.

Milton Conford Elected
Mayor in New Jersey

NEWARK, X. J., (JTA)—Mil-
ton B. Conford, , Jewish civic
worker,; has been elected mayor
of the township of Hillside. He
has been a member of the town-
ship committee since 1950 and
is chairman of the administra-
tive law committees of the New'
Jersey and Essex County bar
associations. He is special tax
counsel for the cities of Hoboken
and Jersey City.

CampuS Fashion Parade

Fashions on Parade, a show of
campus styles, will be presented
by. two Wayne University soror-
ities—Delta. Theta Sigma and
Sigma Theta Delta—at' 3 p.m.,

Section, National Council of
Jewish Women. A preview of
the song will be sung by Dee

Corbett, local culinary colum-
nist, will be the principal
speaker. The program also in-
cludes a talk by Mrs. Samuel

Irving Kane Addresses
2nd 'Blue Book' Seminar

Irving Kane, chairman of the
National Community Relations
Advisory Council, -will be the
"visiting professor" when the
Women's Division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation holds the
second in its series- of Blue Book
Seminars, at 10:45 a.m.., Thurs-
day, at the Fred M. Butzel Me-
morial Building, 163 Madison.
Kane is an attorney turned
businessman. He is a past presi-
dent of the Jewish Community
Council of Cleveland and, also in
his home City, is a member of
the Mayor's Community Rela-

tions Board, administering
Cleveland's FEPC law. .
The seminar—on the NCRAC
and the National Agencies—will
discuss such questions as "What
is the NCRAC—how was it or-
ganized? What led to the McIver
Report? How does the situation
affect our Campaign and bud-
geting?"
Chairmen for this session are
Mrs. Arthur I Gould and Mrs.
Nathan Spevakow. Scheduled for
future seminars are "Approaches
to Jewish Education" and "Is-
rael—the Economic Side."

Vladimiritzer Relief Plans
Games Party 'for Dec. 9

Mrs. William Rossen, chair-
man of the games party planned
by the Vladimiritzer Emergency
Relief Organization for Dec. 9,
has urged members to bring
friends. The affair will be held
in the Workmen's Circle Center.
Proceeds will be used to send
packages and scrip certificates
