Partisanship Charged by
Droock in NCRiA.0 Issue
Editor, The Jewish News:
- I have just read your editorial
entitled "To Your Tents, 0 Is-
rael: For Unity," and I am com-
pelled to suggest that this type
of partisan approach can never
accomplish the deSired result.
In the first place, let me cor-
rect a general misconception
and error with relation to Bnai
Brith 'affiliation with the
NCRAC. It is not the Anti-
Defamation League that was a
constituent member of the
NCRAC. It is the Bnai Brith
that was the constitutent mem-
ber. The Anti- Defamation
League merely acted' as its rep-
resentative in its Community
Relations Program.
If editorials and resolutions
passed by the various Councils
and National Organizations
would assume a conciliatory at-
titude rather than a partisan
attitude, there is considerable
hope for the resolving of hon-
est differences. To be speCific, if
your editorial urged the NCRAC
and its constituent members
and the Bnai Brith and the
AJC to reopen _negotiations for
the purpose of trying to reach
a compromise, which would be
acceptable to all parties to the
controversy • and thereby resolv
