TEL AVIV—Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Israel's first Presi-
dent, was on Tuesday afternoon laid to rest in the garden of
his home at Rehovoth.
In the two days before his funeral the President lay in
state in a coffin on a platlbrm in front of his home. 250,000
Israelis filed past to take their last view of the beloved
leader.

Weizmann, and bore the legend
in Hebrew and in English ."To
