Edmund Sloman Dies

Edmund M. Sloman, of 86
Eason, Highland • Park, one of
Detroit's most . prominent at-
torneys and. a prominent MM.
munal leader, died last Friday
at the age of 70. Funeral serv-
ices were held Sunday at Kauf-
man's Chapel.
Surviving him are his wife,
Sadie; sons, Robert and Will-
iam; daughters, Mrs. Elaine
Lumberg, Mrs. Janet Berman
and Mrs. Peggy Frank.
A native Detroiter, Mr. Slo-
man practiced law here for 50
years after graduating from the
University of Michigan. A found-
er of the Detroit Lawyer's Club,
he was a member of the Michi-
gan and Detroit B a r Associa-
tions. He was a _member of the
Red Cross Speakers' Bureau,
Masonic Order, Temple Beth RI,
Factfincj.ers Club and Knights
of Pythias and was active in
Jewish movements.
