HY HAVE WE LOST
THE PEACE?
WHY ARE WE AGAIN
AT WAR?

At the war's end in '1945, America was the most powerful nation in
history. We were the hope of free people everywhere.

Within 7 short years, tli4 Truman administration squandered away this
power and preitige. Our leadership failed miserably.

Even before this, Democrat "Leadership': secretly agreed to Russian
proposals that-

•

•

Made possible the Red, enslavement of the free peoples of
eastern 'Europe.

9 Gave the Reds control over the eastern part of Germany.

•

Let the Reds cage us in Berlin without a road to get in or out.

•

Enabled the Reds to arm the North Koreans and complete the
Communist conquest of China.

•

In short, permitted the Reds to rule over 18 nations formerly
independent, to enslave 600 million free people, to overrun half
the earth.

*

*

*

But the terrible blunders of the Truman administration have not only
lost the peace; they have also embroiled -us in the Korean War. A
bloody and costly war that has already lasted longer than our part in
World War I.

Today, with no honorable end yet in sight — the so-called "Truman
Foreign Policy" has cost us over 120,000 American battle casualties
and billions in American treasure.

Surely, we must reject these Democrat blunders. Surely, we must _ stop
the sacrifice of American lives in Korea. Surely, we must lift the
crushing tax burden of national defense. And we can! We can elect—

DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER

He has proved he knows how to make right decisions in world affairs.
He has dealt with the Reds; he knows how to handle them. All nations
respect his organizing ability. All people understand his positive atti-
tude toward fighting Communism.

Only with Dwight D. Eisenhower as President can you be sure to drive
Communists out of the Federal Government, can you be sure to repudi-
ate the Democrat sellout to Communism, can you be sure to assure
prosperity without war!

A VOTE FOR

I
