group of young voters, this week
issued a statement condemning
attempts to inject Jewish issues
in the campaign and to drag
in names of prominenu Ameri-
cans as means of influencing
votes.
"Jews vote as Americans and
not as Jews," their statement
reads. "We vote to defend our
basic priinciples and not to cre-
ate inter-racial inter-faith
animosities. We are therefore
outraged by attempts to drag
into the current issues, names
of prominent Jews in order
thereby to infii:ence votes. The
name of Bernard Baruch, for
example, has been used in be-

nothing on record to show that
Baruch has endorsed Eisen-

The same is true with relation

stances, pro-Stevenson voters
