Dr. Haber to Address
Israel Appeal Parley

Dr. William Haber. leading
economist and specialist on man-
power and labor relations, will
appear as one of four experts
on a special panel of the forth-
coming National Conference for
Israel Nov. 9 at the Commodore
Hotel, New York.
The panel will present and
subject to a detailed critical an-
alysis Israel's blueprints for the
future in four
major areas of
activity — hous-
ing, Negoi de-
velopment, agri-
cultural projects
and vocational
guidance a n d
training.
Dr. Haber, who
is president of

ORT Federation, will evaluate
the program on job training. The
panel session is part of the over-
all conference which will plan
the productive absorption of Is-
rael's 240,000 immigrants living
in transition centers.
The conference is being called
under the auspices of the United
Israel Appeal, major beneficiary
of United Jewish Appeal.

Temple Israel Begins
Adult Study Program

The adult education program
of Temple Israel will open in
the youth center of the temple
at 8:30 p.m., Monday.
Rabbi Leon Fram will begin
the 27th season of his course on
current Jewish history which
consists of an hour's lecture fol-
lowed by questions and answers
and discussion. A social hour,
sponsored by the Sisterhood, fol-
lows.
Among the studies to be dis-
cussed by the rabbi will be the
election issues, German repara-
tions to Israel and the with-
drawal of the Anti-Defamation
League and the American Jew-
ish Committee from the NCRAC.
There is no tuition fee, and
everyone is welcome.
The Sisterhood and the Men's
Club cooperate in presenting the
adult program. The class in
current Jewish history is under
the auspices of the Sisterhood,
with Mrs. Robert L. Rosen.
