It's literal translation is "friend." Finding a chaver in the movement Is simple, but discovering a chaver both in and to the movement re- quires more search. - Such a chaver is David Sislin, who for the past several decades, has devoted much of his time and dedicated much of his life to the cause of Labor Zionism. On his 60th birthday last month, members of the many organizations to which Chaver Sislin belongs—Poale Zion, Far- band, Jewish Folk Schools, Far- band Camp and Kinderwelt, Jewish National Fund, Hista- drut—joined in paying tribute to his life long work. They honored him with banquet, and seated proudly at his side was his wife, chavera Sophie Sislin, who also is a de- voted worker in the Zionist cause.
