Bnai Moshe Juniors Plan
Full Season of Activities
At their first fall meeting,
Bnai Moshe Juniors welcomed
back their advisor Dave Rappo-
port and began planning a sea-
son full of activities.
The Junior Congregation has
planned holy High Day services
during the past -few weeks,
which will be presented in an
auxiliary room of the syna-
gogue.
Part of the secret of the success of the Maurice Rentner fash-
ion show held Wednesday at Masonic Temple, sponsored by the
Women's Division of , the Detroit Israel Bond Committee, was the
hard work of such earnest volunteers as left to right, Mrs. ABE
SINCLAIR, Bnai Brith Women, Zager Chapter; Mrs. LOUIS SHEAR,
BB Women; Fox Chapter; Mrs. HARRY NEWCORN, Jewish Na-

New officers are Ronald Ellis,
president; Shirley Miller, vice-
president; Evelyn Simon and
Jackie Jaulus, secretaries; Melvyn
Oshunsky, treasurer; and Allan
Rubin, gabbai. New board mem-
bers are Edward Klarman, Har-
old Provizer, Rosalyn Reisman,
Friedelle Schreier, Faith Green-
baum, Maxine Moses, Sol Chud-
now and Donna Goldenberg.
Success Scored for Israel Bond Drive
By Women's Division 'Show by Rentner'
Maurice Rentner's fashion
show Wednesday at Masonic
Temple drew a capacity aud-
ience of fashion-conscious De-
troit women who purchased IS-
rael bonds to gain admittance
to the exclusive showing of the
famous designer's fall and win-
ter designs.
Sponsored by t h e Women's
Division of the Detroit Israel,
Bond Committee, the revue fea-
tured as guest entertainer and
"honorary model" Hildegarde,
singing star of two continents.
Fashion commentator for the
revue was Janet Rose of St.
Louis
Mrs. Theodore Bargman,
chairman of the Women's Divis-
ion, began the proceedings by
welcorning the women of Detroit
to the ' fashion show and con- -
gra.tulated them for their sup-
port of Israel Through their
purchases of bonds.

ference to deal with the question
of Jewish education will be held
the day after Chanukah.
Pie announced that two Detroit
stUdents. in advanced Talmudic
studies, Yehudah Cohen and Al-

to go to the Yeshivah Academy

A gala dinner show starring Sam Solomon, Bert Smokier,
Eddie Cantc ► :, the most beloved Nathan Lurie, Jack Lurie and
shownkan in America, will be a number of other prominent
community leaders to a lunch-
eon Tuesday at the Sheraton-
Cadillac Hotel.
The executive committee of
the local bond organization, in
a meeting two weeks ago, de-.
cided that all those who pur-
chased Israel bonds in the
amount of $500 or more during
the High Holy Day period would
be entitled to attend the dinner
show, joining those dinner guests
who purchased bonds specifically
foriethe Eddie Cantor dinner.
Cantor began a new era in
show business more than 40
years ago when he sang at a
order by Mrs. Morris Adler. Mrs.
Milton Mahler, chairman of ar-
rangements for the fashion
show, introduced Mr. Rentner.
A short discourse on the his-
tory of fashion by commentator
Janet Rose was followed by a
dazzling display of Rentner's
new creations.
Preceding the fa.shion show,
women purchasing $500 or more
in Israel bonds were the guests
of Mr. Rentner at a brunch
held , in the Oak Room of
Masonic Temple.
