Malben Treats Sick Boy with UJA Funds

Six-year-old Isaac Diamond,
born in a DP camp in Germany,
is a patient in a Malben institu-
tion. Malben is supported with
United Jewish Appeal funds and
is operated by one of its three
constituent agencies, the Joint
Distribution Committee. Isaac is
at Tel Hashomer Army General
Hospital near Tel Aviv, where
UJA funds provide for the care
of 450 patients including 50
children with tuberculosis. Mal-
ben is renewing the health and
peace of mind of 11,000 aged,
crippled and blind Jewish immi-
grants in Israel, who never be-
lieved they would reach Israel
in time for Rosh Hashanah.

more knowledge concerning the
techniques of musical theory and
composition than any other
American Jewish composer to-
day.
