Beware: Unethical Advertising
Solicitations Flooding City;
Unauthorized Billings Exposed.

Irresponsible and unethical advertising solicitors once
again are flooding Detroit with appeals for ads in publica-
tions without circulation in our community.

National organizations already have exposed these so-
licitors, and the U. S. Post Office is in the process of in-
vestigating their activities.

Their outrageous appeals for ads--for which they bill

in advance without authorization—are that they are fighting

anti-Semitism. This is sheer misrepresentation. It is an as-
sumption of a job these periodicals can not fulfill and one
which is done by organizations financed through our corn-
munal fund-raising drives.

It is unfortunate that many non-Jews are misled by
disreputable appeals. We warn Detroit Jews not to be mis-
led by these solicitations and to spread the warning among
non-Jews as well as Jews.

Our community especially is warned to be on
the lookout against billings for unauthorized adver-
tisements—a practice which has been found especial-
ly obnoxious and unethical.

Don't be misled by the use of local addresses by
the racketeers who seek to give the - impression that
the organs they represent have • circulations in i
Detroit.

Beware of misrepresentations and billings for
unauthorized advertisements, and help eliminate
racketeering from our ranks!
