.Rentner Israel Bond Fashion
Show to Feature Hildegarde

Other fur pieces, to be worn
by Rentner's mannequins, will
be copies of furs displayed by
'Maximilian at the Venice fash-
ion show attended by European
royalty and the world's out-
standing ,fashion authorities.
Commenting on her part in
the Rentner review, Hildegarde
declared, "I am thrilled to be
able to participate in Mr.. Rent
ner's fashion show. I have long
been an admirer of his creations,
and the occasion is made all the
more pleasurable by the fact
that this wonderful show is be-
ing staged for such an import-
ant and worthwhile cause as
the Israel Bond campaign."
Hildegarde went to Europe
last June to fulfill an engage-
ment at London's famed Cafe de
Oarus. The opening night was
a thrilling and nostalgic occa-
sion for her because it was at
the Cafe de Paris that she play--
ed her first London club date. •
It was the late Gus Edwards,
famous star maker, who decided
that she should use only her
first single name when she•join-
ed his act in vaudeville. Through
the years the name of Hilde •
garde has blazed in the smart-
est hotels and supper clubs in
America and. Europe.
More recently Hildegarde has
invaded the concert field with
singular success. For the past
two years she has been on a
"grass roots" tour of the United.
States presenting her unique
song and piano concert in 68
cities and covering 145,000 miles
