Jordan and Peace
Israel's position is seriously affected by
the powderkegs which surround the small,
young state. The changes in kingships in
Egypt and Jordan are accompanied by un-
eerta int • s which compel Israel's government

breaks of hostilities. At the same time, there
is need for wise decisions in the continuous
struggle for peace.

an untold number of rumors about the pos-
sibility of an early peace. Unfortunately, the
hates that have been engendered through
the years have not subsided and the dangers
outweigh the goodwill gestures.
