For her marriage, the bride
chose a gown of white French
organza, featuring an off-the-
shoulder neckline, embroidered
motifs on the bodice and cap
sleeves, irridescent pailettes and
pearls, a fitted bodice and co-
tillion skirt which extended into
a traditional train. Her three-
tiered fingertip veil of silk illu-
sion was caught to her head by
a cap of illusion with embroid-
ered motifs. She carried orchids
and stephanotis on a Bible.
Following a wedding. trip to
Florida, the young couple will
reside on Woodstock Dr.

National Fund of Belgium will
publish a volume dedicated to
the memory of the Jews exe-
cuted by the Nazis - in Belgium
and Luxembourg. During the
last three years, the Belgian
Jewish community has planted
trees in Israel through the JNF
honoring the 4.000 Jews from
Belgium who died at the hands
of the Nazis.

Rome to Honor Memory of
Jews Sent to Death Camps
ROME, (JTA)—Plans were an-
nounced here for the erection of
a memorial honoring the Jews (.'f
Rome who were deported to
death camps by the Nazis. Tlie
memorial will be erected in the
Jewish section of the municipal

the deportation of thousands of
; Rome's Jews.
Don Fra, a Catholic priest of
Turin, has made known that he
would not grant absolution to
persons who caused the deporta-
tion of Jews by the Nazis, or wno
stole Jewish property without
making good for the theft. The
priest apparently refers to Ital-
ians who, during confession, re-
' quest absolution for the above
mentioned crimes.

RAMAT GAN, (ISI 1—A street
near the Tel Binyaman quarter
of Ramat Gan is. to be named
after an Italian priest who was
instrumental in saving the lives
of many Jews during World War
II and who was later deported
to the Dachau prison camp and
murdered there.
The priest was Dr. GioVanni
Palatucci. The street will be
named "Rehov Hapodim—Dr.
Giovanni Palatucci." (The
meaning of Hapodim is The Re-
deemers.) The suggestion to
name the -street was made to
the Ramat Gan Municipal Coun-
cil by a group. of ,Italian Jews
from Fiume.

with the famous Goethe Award
at a reception at Goethe Houae
