ALL THE GRADUATES at the

lines of rhyme to go with their

clared he was stumped. however,
when it came to rhyming some-
thing with the name of Herschell
Schlussel, young son of Iry
Schlussel . . . Nonetheless, he
carried the day well by telling
what a popular lad Herschell was
in his class. but that he couldn't
rhyme anything with his name.

WHEN PERFECTION LODGE
does anything. it always seems
to come out right . . . Which is
why the group's reputation as
successful social coordinators
has become a noted attribute to
the Masonic Order . . . Last
week. the lodge chartered a boat
and held a simple moonlight
affair .•.. at which 850 folks had
a good time . .. The only enter-
tainment was dancing to the
ship's orchestra. but everyone
was really sorry when the vessel
finally docked . . . The Perfec-

have been. and was. enough to
insure a successful evening.

THE MEMORIAL OBSERV-
ANCE sponsored by the Jewish
Community Council for the late
beloved Dr. Benedict Glazer was
perhaps the most eloquent and
impressive tribute that our com-
munity has ever witnessed . . .
The place that Dr. Glazer had
won for himself in the heart of
a great city and state was amply
evidenced by spokesmen who
represented the multitude of ac-
tivities that had been influenced
by his life . .. The audience. too,
was a cross section of Detroit ...
and we were deeply moved by
the sincerity of the tributes .
Many folks who had never been
in a synagogue before. remarked
later that it was the most mov-
ing experience they had ever
had.
