Tensions in Boston

BOSTON, (JTA)—The United
Community Services, acting at
the 'request of the Jewish Com-
munity Council, will undertake
a long-range investigation into
tire racial tensions of the Dor-
chester-Roxbury area, scene of
numerous anti-Jewish incidents.
Arthur G. Rotch, president of
the United Community Services,
said funds from special sources
will be available for the project
which got underway recently at
a conference of city officials,
representatives of the UCS and
of the Jewish community coun-
cil.
Frederick B. Taylor, chairman
of t h e UCS recreation and
group work division, will be in
charge of the study, with fact-
finding in the hands of Robert
F. Rutherford, dean of the Sim-
mons College of Social Work.
