Mr. and Mrs. Harry Manheimer, of Roselawn Ave., announce
the adoption of an infant daughter, Robin Ava, born on April 10.
The Central States Region of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity was
hosted last week by Wayne University's Xi Chapter at its Mayfair
Weekend. Beginning with a stag on Friday, the affair continued
Saturday with sports tournaments and a business meeting and a
dance Saturday night at the Park Avenue Penthouse. A farewell
banquet was Meld Sunday. Among chapters participating were
those from Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State.
Kolman Weinberg, of Cortland Ave., was honored on h4 70th
birthday at a surprise party and buffet supper attended by his
children and many friends.
A dinner party held recently at the Mayfair honored the Bar
Mitzvah of Allen L. Sinai, son of the Joe Sinais, of 9970 Broad-
street. Out of town guests were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
R. Wapnick, and aunts and uncles, the Ed Davis', the William
Feilibergs and daughter, Paula; the Sid Feinbergs and datighter,
Georgiann, all from Cleveland, 0.
Sam Brown, regional director of the American Jewish Con-
gress, on Monday, addresses the sociology department of Central
Michigan College, Mt. Pleasant, at the invitation of Prof. Meltzer,
head of the department there. Blown spoke on the Congress, its
program here and abroad.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert M. Posen, formerly of Clements Ave., are
now residing at 3032 Calvert.
Mr. and Mrs. Jules S. Steinberg, of Rochester Ave., have re-
turned from a month's stay in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Shayne have moved from Linwood Ave. to
their new home at 19332 Fielding.
EMI: and Mrs. Samuel Pinkis, of Condon Ave., have returned
icago where they witnessed the ceremonies at which their
dau , Mrs. jEdythe Lovell. took her Florence Nightingale pledge
as a', nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital. Mrs. Lovell. the former
Edythe Lois Pinkis, is a graduate of Central High School.
