The cantata which is for narra-
tor, solo voices, piano, chorus
and orchestra was published a
few months ago in New York.
This will be the first perform-
ance in Detroit.
Harry Goldstein, Detroit radio
artist, will be narrator; Irving
Rosengard, baritone and Wyn
Garden, soprano, will sing the
solo parts; Vivi Lesser will play
the piano and the Center choral
group will sing the choral pieces.
Tickets may be obtained at
the offices of the Center.

MRS. HERBERT STOORMAN

Metz and Herbert Stoorman
were wed in a double-ring serv-
ice. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Metz,
and the bridegroom's parents
are the William Stoormans.
Rabbi Leon Fram and Cantor
Robert Tulman officiated.
For her wedding the bride
chose a white satin gown, with
a traditional full skirt which

ended in a cathedral train. Her
headpiece was fashioned with
pearls and beads and held in
place her finger-tip veil of nylon
illusion. She carried two white
orchids on a Bible.
Doris Lane was maid of honor,
and the bridegroom's sister, Mrs.
Anne Levine, was matron of
liono r. Bridesmaids includt - d
Ruth Shpargel and Betty Kozak,
the bride's sisters, and Loretta
Bossin and Bernice Newton.
Julius Stoorman was his bro-
ther's best man, and ushers
were Sol Shpargel. Mac Kozak,
Leo Pomerantz. and Leo Levine.

maid and Sheldon Metz, the
bride's brother, junior usher.
Out of town guests were •Mrs.
Louis Schulman,o f Beverly Hills,
Calif. and Mrs. Louis Kash, of
Los Angeles, Calif. Following a
reception, the newlyweds left for
a Miami Beach honeymoon.

Council Asks Affiliates
To Send Names of Delegates

Dr. Shmarya Kleinman, presi-
dent of the Community Council,
asked affiliated organizations to
make certain the names of cur-
rent delegates and alternates are
filed at the Council office, in
preparation for the delegate as-
sembly to be held at 8:30 p.m.,
April 24, at Cong. Bnai Moshe.
Morris Zwerdling,' chairman
of the nominating committee,
announces that the committee's
report is being prepared, and
nominations will be submitted
for all Council offices and va-
cancies on the executive com-
mittee.
A change in nominating pro-
cedures will allow additional
nominations to be made within
14 days by petitions signed by
five delegates and carrying the
consent of the nominees to serve
if elected. All nominees must
also be delegates.
