Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kahl . honored their daughter, Dorothy,
with a sweet sixteen party March 28, at the Elmwood Casino.
Dorothy's host was Erwin Adelman, and other guests were Maxine
Harrison and Richard Kahl, Barbara Littky and Jerry Wolberg,
Shirley Fealk and Alan Becker, Judy Botuck and Eugene Salesin,
Deane Meisner and Stuart Eichelbaum, Carol Krohn and Burt
Stillman, Bobbe Katz and Larry Shulman, Sharon Weinberg and
Barry Lieberman, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gendel and Mr. and Mrs.
Harry F. Briggs, of East Lansing.
A shower for Rona Herman, EP:Tune bride-elect, was held at
the home of Nathalie Heller on March 29. Those present included
Phyllis Rattner, Ruth Rosender, Ruth Boraks, Gloria Lightstone,
Sally Kornwise, Julia Kwaselow, Beverly Falk and Adrienne Gold-
berg.
Prior to their marriage to be held Sunday, at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, Shirlee Shlain and Charlie Wolok were entertained by the
following: Dr. and Mrs. Dave Freednian, Dr. and Mrs. Mark Gold-
stick, the Louis Roses, Joe Freedmans, Louis Woloks, Saul Roses,
Morrey Woloks, Saul Waldmans, Albert Schlussels, Aaron Teitel-
baums, Emil Woloks, Henry Woloks, Marvin Shlains and George
Shlains. Employees of bridegroom-elect at the Paramount Manu-
facuring Co. in Hillsdale honored the couple at a dinner dance
at the Hayes Hotel in Jackson.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Spoon are now residing in their new home
at 19510 Argyle Crescent.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Snider have left for New York and from
there left by plane for a six week tour of Europe and Israel.
While in Israel they will visit with their nephew, Reuven (Rol-
land) Kaminer, a former Detroiter, who is -now living in a Kibbutz.
Their return trip will include Paris, Italy, Switzerland. and Eng-
land. They will embark on the Isle de France, May 8, for their
return journey.
The Jewish Center's music department will present pupils of
Julius Chajes and Vivian Kbzenn in a recital at 4 p.m., April 6,
at the Woodward Center. Admission is by invitation.
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Fishman, of 18492 Hubbell, left last
week to spend three weeks in Daytona Beach, Fla. En route they
visited friends in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. David Kaatz, of San Juan Dr., have returned
from several weeks in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey L. Weisberg are now residing in their
new home at '18420 Hartwell.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ginsberg, of Traverse City, have returned
home from a two-month vacation at Miami Beach, Fla., Los
Angeles, Calif. and Las Vegas, Nev.
Edith Krass and Betty Reiss received the sorority pins of Iota
Alpha Pi national sorority at a recent luncheon installation at
Lelli's. New officers are Audrey So-skin, chancellor; Judy Hey-
man, vice-chancellor; Marjorie Krause, bursar; Florence Sapper-
stein and Jacqueline Smolinsky, scribes; Evelyne Yuzpe, pledge
mother and Marilyn Fisher, sgt.-at-arms.
Mr. and Mss. M. Silver, of Elmhurst Ave., are spending Pass-
over in Madison. Wis., at the home of the S. Feigenbiums.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potiker are spending a short vacation at
the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec, Canada.

White Boxes will be conducted'
for a period of one week be-;
ginning on April 13. Irving
Schlussel, JNF Council presi-
dent, announced.
The collections will conclude
on April 21, Schlussel said.
Volunteer workers from all
local Zionist organizations • are
being mobilized for this effort
and all box-holders are urged to
give a cordial welcome to the
volunteers.
An effort is being made to
place JNF boxes in all Jewish
homes. Those who do not pos-
sess the ,Blue and White Boxes
are asked to call the JNF of-
