To Be Honored on His 65th Birthday
Benjamin David Lieberman, a Hastings and Alfred in a store

Jacob Lieberman, was a leader
in congregational and charitable
affairs here for many yearS.
A worker for the Allied Jewish
Campaigns since 1926, Benjamin
Lieberman is known for his
liberality and his tireless efforts
for all worthy causes. All have
felt free to call upon him for
assistance. During World War
I he was active in the United
Jewish Emergency Fund. He
served as - chairman of the
Lithuanian Jews of Detroit, has

To Hold Model Sedoriin This reek
Model sedorim, sponsored
jointly by the staff of the vari-
ous Parent-Teacher Organiza-
tions and the United Hebrew
Schools will be held this week in
all branches of the Schools.
A traditional event, these pro-
grams are arranged to teach
students to assist in the home
seder and to make known the
meaning and symbolism of the
Passover holiday. Following are
dates and places for branch se-
dorim:
Adas Shalom Branch will di-
vide sedorim into four groups,
all to be held Monday afternoon.
Group 1 will be supervised by
Allan Linden, Mrs. Goldie Eskin
and Mrs. Naomi Schleyelstone.
Group 2 will be directed by Mrs.
Nettie Elazar and Miss Clara
Kimel.
Group 3 will be supervised by
Mrs. Drora Dworkin, and group
4 will be guided by Menachem
Avrahami and Norman Rutten-
berg. Members of the PTO as-
sisting will be Mesdames Charles
Charlip, president; Joseph
D e u t c h, vice-president; and
Louis Berent, chairman of Se-
dorim committee.
At the Linwood Branch, fes-
tivities will be held at 11 a. m.,
Sunday. at the Rose Sittig Cohen

The Great Lakes Region was
formed several months ago to
provide a positive outlook among
Jewish youth toward group liv-
ing through institutes, discus-
sions and various programs, on
which the group is now work-
ing.

Beth Aaron, publicity, Marianne
Reiner, Shaarey Z e d e k, pub-
licity; and Lillian Bartlett,

Pioneer Wothen's Units
To Hold Passover Event
Four chapters of the Pioneer
Women will hold 'a joint Pass-
over celebration at the Sholem
Aleichem Institute, 18495 Wyo-
ming, at 1 p.m., April 14.
Groups participating will be
from Club I, •Chib II, Kinneret
Chapter and Channa Czenesh
Chapter. A cultural and musical
program is planned by a joint
committee under the chairman-
ship of Zina Zemel of Club I.
Bernard Isaacs, superintend-

Schools, will speak on "The Sig-
nificance of Pesach in the Past
and in Israel T o d a y." Sara
Friedman of Channa Szenesh
Chapter, will give a dramatic
