be toasted for his selfless sup-
port of all functions planned by
the Ladies, who sponsor Jewish
education and training at the
Beth Jacob School for Girls.
Mrs. Cohen, long an active
worker for the women's group,
will be honored for her leader-
ship in many of the ventures of
the organization, which without
her aid might not have been as
successful.
A program of entertainment
will follow the number of trib-
utes, and includes Cantor Hy-
man Adler and music by Dave

PHILADELPHIA — T h r e e
youths who participated in at-
tacks on the Bnai Israel Syna-
gogue here were given indeter-
minate sentences in different lo-
cal industrial correction schools
late Monday. Twelve others were
charged as "alleged delinquents."
A fourth youthful member of
a Nazi-like youth group at the
Olney high school here who
planned and participated in at-
tacks on the synagogue was sent
to a house of correction. The re-
maining 11 \ defendants, togeth-
er with five "material witness-
es," were placed on probation.
All the defendants were lectured
severely by Municipal Court
Judge John A. Boyle.
All the members of the gang
are between 15 and 17 years of
age. Therefore their names were
withheld by the court. The arson
attack on Bnai Israel Synagogue
was carried out by tossing
home-made "Molotov cocktails"
into the entrance way of the
building.
Five teen-age girls, taken into

custody on charges of twice as-
saulting an 11-year-old girl al-
legedly because she was Jewish,
were released following a House
of Detention hearing after they
promised not to molest the child
again, and were warned that
further trouble would result in
their punishment.
The child told the probation
officer that her attackers used
anti-Semitic remarks, They de-
nied the use of such terms.

week announced that Russell G.
Bennington, C.P.A., and Erwin
R. Wile, C.P.A., have been ad-
mitted to partnership in the
firm, which operates from of-
fices at 211 Congress St., Detroit,
where 4,000 square feet of space
are occupied in the Merryll
Lynch Bldg., and Union Com-
merce Bldg., Cleveland. Mr.
Bennington, a graduate of Cen-
tral State College, and Mr. Wile,
