The firSt showing of the Israel
Stamp Exhibit in Detroit will be-
gin on Sunday, at Israel Enter-
prises, 11820 Dexter. Flown here
from Miami Beach where it was
part of the Israel Cavalcade, the
exhibition will continue through
March 16.
Featured in the exhibit, ac-
cording to Jules Doneson, direc-
tor of Israel Enterprises, are all
stamps printed since the inde-
pendence day issue on May 14,
1948 and including provisional
stamps issued after the British
Mandate's postal service was sus-
pended.
Philatelists, school children,
youth groups and synagogue
organizations are invited to view
the exhibit Monday through
March 14, from 10 a.m. to 12
noon. Israel stamps and first
day covers will be available at
the new exchange rate ($1 to one
Israeli pound), which has been
inaugurated to= encourage stamp
collecting.

Michigan ORT Chapters to Observe
25th Anniversary Here on March 17

The Michigan Region of Wom-
en's American Ort is planning a
series of events for the current
season, including the celebration
of the 25th anniversary of the
women's group on March 17. On
that date, the presidents of the
five Michigan chapters will be
hostesses at a birthday party to
which all members and friends
are invited.
March has been designated as
Guardianship Month by ORT,
under the chairmanship of Mrs.
John M. Wise, who announces
that Michigan Ort chapters have
clothed 1108 students this year

Adas Shalom Youths Form
Choir; To Organize Orchestra

A group of teen-age boys and
girls, 14 to 18, comprise the new-
ly-organized Adas Shalom youth
choir, which is currently plan-
ning to participate in the syna-
gogue's dedication program later
