Mrs. Eugene Feingold has returned to her home in Chicago
after a visit here with members of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Berry of Outer Drive are enjoying an 18-
day cruise to South America.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Harris have returned from their wedding
trip to New Orleans and Jamaica, and now are residing at the
Wilshire Apts.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Margolis and their sons of Muirland
Ave. are in their winter home on Nautilis Drive, Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sylvan have returned to their Roslyn Road
abode after a month's tour of the west coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Trager of Oak Drive have returned from a
month's trip to Las Vegas and California.
The Myron Steinbergs of Webb Ave. have returned from a
week in New York City, where they celebrated their 25th wedding
anniversary with members of their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brody and children of Warrington Drive are
spending two weeks in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Glossman have left for Boston, where
they will establish residence for the next 18 months.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Green of Muirland Ave. have returned
from a two-week stay in Florida.
- Mr. and Mrs. Graham Orley of Victoria Road are back from
stay in New York City.
The Abe Schmiers of Sherbourne Road left last week for New
York, and embarked on Feb. 20 on a cruise to the West Indies.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Silverman and their daughter, Marcia,
have moved from Covington Road and now are residing in their
new home at 19001 Oak Drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Goldin of W. Outer Drive, who are visit-
ing in Los Angeles, are en route to Miami Beach where they will
remain for six weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Winkelman have returned from their
wedding trip and are living in Ann Arbor, where they attend the
University of Michigan.

workers in the 1952 Allied Jew-
ish Campaign, at the recent
annual meeting of the League
of Jewish Women's Organiza-
tions.

a resolution in support of the
campaign were:

The full text of the resolution
reads as follows:
WHEREAS, In the 1952 Allied Jewish
Campaign are incorporated all of the
causes, in Detroit, throughout the United
States, and overseas, in which we, as
good citizens of our community and as
Jewish women, are concerned, and,
- WHEREAS, As thoughtful, sympathetic
- .women, we can fully understand the
imperative need to turn the Homecoming
•so Israel into a Home-rnaking, and,
WHEREAS, For the 'welfare of our
children, our friends and ourselves, we
are devoted to the :local and national
Jewish social services that make our
community a richer place in which to
THEREFORE, we, the leaders, and
members of groups comprising the
League of Jewish Women's Organizations,
resolve that, since the 1952 Allied Jew-
ish PLUS Campaign requires plus work
and plus giving from all of us, we will
do our utmost to enlist our fellow mem-
bers to join with us as workers in the
Campaign; we will give primary to the
Campaign during the months of its con-
duct by holding no major organizational
events in that period; and we will par-
ticipate in the Campaign to the best of
our individual abilities.

The Ruth Ann Shapiro : Aux-

Service Group, at its last meet-
ing elected the following officers
to direct the newly-organized
group:

Barbara Gantz, vice-president;

Formed only recently to honor
Ruth Ann Shapiro, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Shapiro,
the= girlsstuff toys and animals,
prepare scrapbooks and present
plays for children at North End
Clinic, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, De-
troit Orthopedic Clinic and other
institutions. Mrs. Shapiro is a
member of Infants Service
Group.

Rabbi Leon Fram will be one
of the many dignitaries present
when the new Downtown USO
Club at 147 W. Lafayette is of-
ficially dedicated today. Cere-
monies will begin at 3 p.m., and
will be followed by an open house
buffet supper for all servicemen
and women in the area.
Included in the entertainment
planned for the evening, Carol
Channing and the cast from
"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" will
make a personal appearance. An
orchestra will play for dancing.
The USO Club is located in the
basement of the Shubert Lafay-
ette Theter.
The club will be maintained, as
in World War II, by community
groups, with food served free to
servicemen. Volunteer organiza-
tions may contact Mrs. Herbert
S. Arbogast, refreshment chair-
man, to serve at the center.

Central Police Station. The
gathering also paid tribute to
the 42nd anniversary of scouting
in America.
Under the sponsorship of the
Lt. Raymond Zussman P o s t,
of the Jewish War Veterans,
which organized Troop 533,
these same scouting units will
get together March 26 for a
hobby craft contest.
• The boys will make models of
boats and planes, with the boy
chosen winner to receive a com-
plete scouting outfit. Federal
Judge Theodore Levin will be
guest speaker at the program.
Troop 135, of Cong. Bnai_David
Synagogue, will also participate
in the contest, which is directed
by Lester Lawrence, Boy Scout
chairman for the State Jewish
War Veterans Department.
