Certificates will be awarded at

school at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, at
the synagogue. Joseph Yanich
will lead community singing.
The Bar Mitzvah Club will
hear addresses by Marty Pavelich
and Red Kelly; two leading mem-
bers of Detroit's lead leading Red
Wing hockey team at 9:30 a.m.,
Sunday, in the social hall. Mem-
bership is open to all boys 13
and over who wish to partici-
pate.

The concluding program of
Friday night gatherings will take
place at 8:30 p.m., today, in the
synagogue. Dedicated to brother-
hood, members are asked to
bring non-Jewish neighbors and
friends. Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka
will speak on "Personality of a
Brilliant Failure."
In observance of Hamisha Asar
b'Shvat, officers of the congrega-
tion will be honored with the
planting of trees in Israel. Reli-
gious school pupils will honor
teachers similarly. Community
singing will be led by the Sister-
hood choral group, direciYed by
Cantor H. J. Adler.

junction with Israel's current
efforts to reclaim the Huleh
swamps, are engaged in plant-

Feb. 27, from 4 to 4:30 p.m. and
March 4; 8 to 8:30' p.m. in the
library: The program will feature
liturgical compositions, music of
modern Israel, Yiddish folk
songs, and instrumental music.
Cantor Sonenklar will interpret
the liturgical compositions.
All selections will come from
the Shaarey Zedek Record Li-
brary, and are presented in
honor of Jewish Music Month.
It will be sponsored jointly by
the Shaarey Zedek library, the
adult institute and the leaders
training fellowship.
On March 9, the CBS "Church
of the Air" program of liturgical
music will be presented at the
Shaarey Zedek Library from
10:30 to 11 a.m. The broadcast
is being sponsored by the Na-
tional Jewish Music Council and
will feature the choirs of the
Anshe- Emet Synagogue, Hebrew
Union School of Sacred Music
and Temple Israel of Boston and

Arrangements are being com-
pleted for the three-day dedica-
tion ceremonies at Adas Shalom
Synagogue for the week-end of
March 28-30, according to J.
Maurice Karo, vice - president
and chairman of the dedication
committee.
Beginning with Friday night
services, March 28, and Sabbath
services the following morning,
the program includes an Affili-
ates' Night affair on March 29;
and formal dedication ceremo-
nies March 30, culminating in a
dinner that evening.
Well known local and national
personalities in religious and
community circles are expected
to attend. One of the dedication
speakers will be Rabbi Jacob
Arzt, vice-president of Yeshivah
Theological Seminary and a
leader in conservative Judaism.
Dedication follows the corn-
pletion of the main synagogue
structure, a building project two
years in development.
