Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Gurwin, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Resnick
and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lewis were in Washington, D.C., last
weekend to attend the wedding of Robert Gurwin to Miss June
Howard, at Bethesda, M121
Members of ,the American HaVen Club were feted at a lunch-
eon given by Mrs. Abraham Goldstein of Sturtevant Ave.
The flight toward the sun has begun. Florida and Arizona are
chief focal points for Detroiters.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Becker of Strathcona Drive are enjoying
a stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Schermer of the Lee Crest Apartments are
headed for a ranch in Arizona, and will visit in California be-
fore returning home.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Green of Muirland Ave. are vacationing
in Hollywood, Fla.
Dr. and Mrs. A. E. Bernstein and daughter, Miriam, of Boston
Blvd., chose Miami Beach for their winter vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Keene of Cambridge Road will leave this
week for a western vacation. They will stop near Tucson for sev-
eral weeks, and then possibly make a jaunt into Mexico.
Mrs. I. B. Brody of Lincolnshire Drive prefers the West coast
of Florida. She is stopping in Passe Grille.
Mr. and Mrs. S. N. Gershenson of Cumberland Way are guests
in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Liebeiman of Birchcrest Drive will leave
this week for a stay at a dude ranch near Tucson, and then will
go .on to visit with members of their family in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Cooper of Chicago Blvd., train out for a va-
cation in Arizona, starting early next week.
Mr. and Mrs. S. Richard Kotzer of Warrington Drive checked
in for a stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. LeVine of Muirland Ave. expect to get
plane reservations for Miami next week.
Mrs. Burton Friedman and her youngest son are in Atlanta,
Ga., for a few days and will spend several weeks in Florida be-
fore returning to their Wildemere Ave. abode.
Dr. and Mrs. S. E. Gould of Chesterfield Ave. are expected back
this week-end from a visit to St. Joseph, Mich.
Mrs. Hoke Levin and her younger daughter, Margaret, of Bal-
moral Drive have returned from a visit with members of their
family in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. David B. Keywell of Roslyn Road returned from
a New York vacation.

available at this store.
This is believed to be the first
and only Israel enterprise of its
kind thus far established in this
country for the purpose of con-
solidating all Israel services.
Israel Enterprises has been
asked by the Israel Government
Touring Center of 525 Fifth Ave.,
New York, to make its store a
tourist center and to exhibit
Israeli products in addition to
those available for sale and ar-
rangements are being made to
fulfill this request.

dlelight ceremony at the Park
Sheraton Hotel on Dec. 23, Mar-
tha Meister, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert M e i s t e r, of
Ewald Circle, became the bride
of Sheldon Young, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Abe Young, of Buena
Vista. Rabbi Glazer officiated.
The bride wore a full, length
gown of white satin and chan-
tilly lace. Her crown headpiece
was bound in seed pearls and
held in place her finger tip veil.
She carried a prayer book with
white orchids, streamers and
lilly of the valley.
Joan Meister, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor, and
Estelle Levin was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Lenore
Young, sister of the bridegroom,
Sara Kogan and Geraldine Ziat-
kin. Sharon Young, the brides-
groom's sister was junior brides-
maid. Arnold Fisher and Dr.
Morris Young were the best
men. Ushers were Al Edelson,
Marvin Sheplow and Herman
Teitel.
Out of towners were from
Scranton, Pa., Montreal, New
York, Philadelphia, Toronto and
London, Ontario.
The couple spent their honey-
moon in New York, and are re-
siding on Broadstreet Blvd.

HARRIS—BARNETT. Speaking
their vows before Dr. - B. Bene-
dict Glazer, on Jan. 23, Shirley
Joyce Barnett and Merle Alan
Harris were joined in matrimony
in a ceremony in the Wayne
Room of the Hotel Statler. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Barnett, of Whit-
more Rd. The bridegroom's par-
ents are Mr. and Mrs. Morrey
Harris, of Santa Barbara Dr.
Mrs. Joseph Orley, sister of
the bridegroom was matron of
honor, and bridesmaids were
Suzie Smith, Mrs. Donald Ka-
petansky and Marilyn Kaplan,
of Omaha, Neb. The bride-
groom's brother, Alfred was best
man, and ushers were Allen
Nemerovski, David Curhan, Don
Korotkin, Harold Blankstein, of
Chicago, brother-in-law of the
bride, and Joseph Orley, brother-
in-law of the bridegroom.
The bride chose a gown of
blush pink satin and rosepointe
Dace, with snug bodice, long
sleeves coming to a point over
her hands and a jewelry neck-
line. Her bouffant skirt fell over
a crinoline and ended in a cir-
cular train. Her three-tiered veil
of French illusion fell from a
Mary Queen of Scots bonnet; and

was of three-quarter length. She
carried white orchids, stepho-
notis, curled eucalyptus leaves
on a muff which matched her
gown.
Following dinner and a re-
ception in the Grand Balroom,
the young couple left for a
honeymoon in the West Indies.
They will make their home in
Detroit.

MOGELL—LANKIN. On Dec.
30, at Cong. Bnai David, Myrna
Lankin, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Lankin, of Stoepel
Ave., became the bride of Earl
Mogell, son of Mrs. Mae Mogell,
of Boston Blvd. Rabbis Sperka
and Gorrelick and Cantor Adler
officiated.
The bride's gown was of egg-
shell lace, with an illusion neck-
line, tight bodice and accordian
pleated skirt, which ended in a
long train. Her finger tip veil
of matching illusion fell from a
lace cap, and she carried ochids
on a white Bible.
Miss Irene Mogell was maid of
honor, Adrienne Lankin, junior
bridesmaid, a n d bridesmaids,
Ruth Taub, Maureen Weiner,
Earbara Axelrod and Arlene
Kollenberg. Fred Mogell, brother
of the bridegroom was best man,
and ushers included Jack Co-
hen, Harry Goldberg, Eugene
Kollenberg and Hyman Taub.
Following a trip td Bermuda,
the newlyweds will reside on
Humphrey Ave.

plans for its original Club
Judaea, which, under the direc-
tion of -Priscilla Adler, will in-
clude a floor show, dancing and

Club Judaea will be held Feb.
2, 8:30 p.m., at the Zionist House,
Linwood and Lawrence.
Abba Freedman, Senior Judaea

Rabbi, Mrs. Rabinowitz
Before Holy Land Trip

Agudath Israel is arranging a
farewell m'lave malke in honor
of Rabbi and Mrs. Joseph Rabi-
nowitz at 8 p.m., Saturday, at
Cong. Beth Shmuel. They will
leave shortly to visit in Israel.
Rabbi and Mrs. Rabinowitz
will be greeted by local rabbis
and organizational leaders. A
musical program will feature
Rabbi Moshe Klinberg, formerly
