Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn Court were hosts to their
mother and father, Mr. and Mrs: J. Feldstein of Birmingham,
Ala., their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lewis,
also of Birmingham; their sister and brother-in-law, .Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Frankel of Toledo, 0.; and to Miss Helen Wertheimer
of New York City; all on the occasion of their son, Marvin's, wed-
ding to Gene Anchor, - daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Anchor
of Oakman Court.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tobin of Webb Ave. were hosts to their
daughter, Mrs. Louis Sklarsky of New York, for a fortnight.
Rabbi Max Weine of Canton, N. J., is spending the week-end
here to attend the Bar Mitzvah of his nephew, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Borman.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Miller have returned from their wed-
ding trip to Miami Beach, and now are residing at 70 Highland
Ave.
Marvin S. Weckstein, junior at the Wayne University College
of Medicine, has been initiated into the Beta Chapter of Alpha
Omega Alpha, honorary medical society. The son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Weckstein, '7010 Thatcher, he ranks second in his class.
At an affair on Jan. 12, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Allan honored
the ruby (40th) wedding anniversary of Mrs. Allan's parents,
Cantor and Mrs. Rubin Boyarsky. Helping celebrate the occasion
were the Cantor's Association of Detroit and Dan and Rebecca
Frohman. Rabbi Jacob Segal, of Adas Shalom Synagogue, Frank
Markson, of Suvalke Society, and Jacob Schuman,' of Eishisker
Society spoke in honor of the couple. The celebrants are members
of the latter two organizations. Cantor Jacob Sonenklar was toast-
master. Out-of-town guests were' son and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Caspar Boyarksy, and Cantor Boyarsky's sister, Mrs. Ida
Shlansky.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Baskin, of the Belcrest Hotel, have
returned from a stay in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leland (Marcia Marcus), of Boston Blvd.,
are vacationing for a:month in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin I. Michaelson, of Fairfield Ave., are
spending the week in New York at the Waldorf Astoria.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nachman, of Kentucky Ave., have left
for a month's stay in Florida and the Bahamas.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin M. Blank and son, Stuart Harley, of
Hartwell Ave., have returned from a month's stay at Miami Beach
Fla.

of white Italian silk taffeta, with
bodice of chantilly lace, and lace
panels in front and on the bgck
of the skirt. Her small• cap of
matching lace was held in place
by a fingertip veil of illusion.
She carried white • butterfly
orchids with ivy.
The bridegroom's sister, Mrs.
Melvin R. Yoffee, was matron of
honor, a n d bridesmaids were
Carolyn. Kann and Ann Lewis.
Dr. Melvin R. Yoffee was his
brother-in-law's best man, and
ushers included Richard Men-
delsohn and David Curhan.
The wedding, originally plan-
ned for February, was hastened
when Mr. Lurie received orders
to report to Naval Officer's Can-
didate School in Newport, R. I.
The bride has returned to the
University of Michigan where
she will finish the Spring semes-
ter before joining her husband
in the East.
