Foster Mothers Form
Drive Contact Group
"How do we tell the public of
the need for additional. foster
homes?" was the key question at
a meeting at the Jewish Social
Service Bureau which was at-
tended by 36 women active in
many 'community interests. They
were called by the steering com-
mittee of the Foster Home Re-
cruitment Project, initiated by
the Jewish Social Service Bu-
reau for a six-month period.
The program of the meeting
included a review of the foster
home placement program by
Harold Silver, agency director.
Mesdames John Farkus, Joseph
Pleasant and Alex Goldberg, of-
ficers of the Foster Mothers
Group, were introduced.
Plans were set up by the con-
tact committee of the project to
reach all organizations in the
community for time at Febru-
ary and March. meetings to pre-
sent the ,foster home needs. Ori-
entation meetings have been
planned for Feb. 4 and 5 to pre-
pare committee members for
their group contacts. At the ori-
entation meetings, they will be
given speakers kits with infor-
mation and •material which can
be used in their contacts.
