Mrs. Herman H. Holinstat and children of Roselawn Ave. are
expected back this week from a stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. N. Rattner of Huntington Woods have been
enjoying a Florida vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. :Joseph Messing of the Belcrest Apts. will return
shortly from a visit to California.
Members of the Federation of Temple Sisterhoods who jour-
neyed to Jackson to be guests of the sisterhood there and attend
a state board meeting include Mesdames S. B. Danto, Percy
Newman, Arthur Haas, Daniel Krause, Maurice Klein, Samuel
Blather, William P. Greenberg, Morton Snyder and Frank Winton.
Warren Rovetch has returned to Washington, D. C., after a
fortnight's visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Rovetch
of Oakman Court.
Mrs. S. B. Danto of Chicago Blvd. is a guest at the Barbizon
Plaza Hotel, New York, this week-end. While there, she will
attend a one-day convention of the National Bureau of Federated
Jewish Women's Organizations.
Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Dann of Burlingame Ave. returned Sunday
from a visit in Cleveland.
Mrs. Ben Fishman of Birchcrest Drive has returned from a
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Schiller of Tulsa, Okla..
Mrs. Jack Katzman of Windsor leaves on Monday . for Los
Angeles to enjoy a visit with her sister and - brother-in-alw, Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Shapiro.

given in honor of Rodney G. Fagan, of Dundee Ave., who has left
for the armed forces.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Leon Katz, of Normandy Ave., entertained
their son, Harold, who was recently home on furlough from Kelly
Field, San Antonio, Tex.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Gurwin has as their house guest for the
past two weeks Miss June Howard, of Washington, D. C., whose
engagement to their son, Robert C., wag. recently announced. Their
marriage will be solemnized Jan. 20, at Bethesda: Md.

The Detroit Council of Pioneer
Women will present a thank-
you evening to honor non-mem-
bers who were donor contribu-
tors, and added to the success
of the women's -recent event, an-
nounced Mrs. Norman Kanter,
Council president.
Rabbi Ephraim F. Einhorn, of
Cong. Ahavas Achini, will ad-
dress the event which will take
place Monday e v e n i n g, at
Rosenberg's Catering.
Sharona Chapter will present
a musical skit based on a poem
written by Mrs. Raymond Ma-
rin, council membership chair-
man, and directed by Mrs. Mol :-
lie Sallan. Community sing-
ing and a social hour will also
be included in the entertain-
ment.

tin and chantilly lace, styled
with a fitted bodice and full
skirt which extended into an
informal train. From her cap of
heirloom lace fell a three-tiered
veil of lace illusion. She carried
a Bible with white orchids and
stephanotis.
Mrs. Gerald Gorddn was ma-
tron of honor, and Judith Gor-
don and Betsy Feldman were
junior bridesmaids. Best man
was Irving Feldman, brother of
the bridegroom, of Poughkeep-
sie, and ushers were Jake Krum-
holz, of New York, and Hubert
Gordon.
Out-of-town guests were from
Milford a n d Boston, Mass.,
Poughkeepsie, N. t Y., Long
Beach and San Francisco, Calif.,
New York, Toledo, Lansing and
Cleveland.
Following a honeymoon in
Cuba, the couple will reside in

evening of "Memory, Music and
Magic."
Known as the man with the
photographic mind, Bailey can
recall the names of 100 people
after hearing them pronounced
just once.
The bowling league is spon-
soring the entertainment, and
will serve refreshments follow-
ing the show. No charge will be
made for admission.

troit women at a meeting of the
national board of the Women's
Division of United Jewish Appeal
in New York. To be held Jan. 17
and 18, at the Hotel Plaza, the
meeting will launch.„a nation-
wide effort by American women
on behalf of the 1952 UJA cam-
paign.
Mrs. Wilma Soss, economic
and financial authority, will
keynote the session with a dis-
cussion of the importance of
budgeting contributions to phil-
anthropic causes.
Other speakers include Ed-
ward M. M. Warburg, general
chairman of UJA, and Dr. Jo-
seph J. Schwartz, executive
vice-chairman of UJA, who is
now on a fact-finding mission in
Israel.
Highlight of Friday's luncheon
session will be an informal talk
by two young Israelis, now visit-
ing the U. S. under sponsorship
of the New York Herald Tribune.
