President Weizmann Reported
`Slightly Improved'; Sees Visitors

TEL AVIV, (JTA) —President
Weizmann's condition was de-
scribed as "slightly improved" in
the bulletin issued by his physi-
cians at Rehovoth where he has
been ill of a pulmonary infec. ,1
tion for the past few weeks. The
bulletin said that Dr. Weizmann
ate his food "with a greater
appetite." The Tuesday bulletin
said that he had spent a quiet
night.
Throughout the week - end
members of the government and
Parliament called on the Presi-
dent. Among the visitors were
Premier David Ben-Gurion, Jew-
ish Agency co-chairman Berl
Locker and Agency member Zal-
man Shazar. Hundreds of cables
and messages from all over the
world are pouring into the
Weizmann residence.
The President's son, Benja-
min, arrived from London. Dr.
Weizmann's closett friends, in-
cluding Sir Simon Marks, also
arrived here. Special prayers
Were offered in synagogues
througilout Israel for the Presi-
dent's recovery.
Citizens of Israel flooded the
presidential office with inquiries
and messages of good will.

concern and wishing the Israeli

Group and each of its seven di-
visions have scheduled board
meetings to name nominating
committees and to determine
how the new metropolitan di-
vision set-up for the 1952 Al-
lied Jewish Campaign will func-
tion, Harvey H. Goldman, DSG
president, announced.
Each division is called upon
to elect a new board and of-
ficers at the biennial meeting
and to elect 33 members-at-
large to the overall board of
the Service Group.
