Rabbi and Mrs. Sam Stollman of Windsor have returned from
a visit with the latter's mother in the East.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Cohen of Covington Drive are leaving
this week for visits in Tucson and Califorhia.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Treitman of Covington Drive are en-
joying a holiday in New York and Florida.
Sol Perlman of Northlawn Ave. will spend the winter at El
Paso, Tex.
Dr. Arthur Bloom of Gloucester Drive has returned fom a few
days' visit in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kelter of Cherrylawn Ave. enjoyed a
fortnight's stay in New York. Mr. Kelter returned this week, and
Mrs. Kelter will remain at Long Island until Dec. 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schlafer and daughter, Margaret, of Long-
feliow Ave., left last week to spend the winter in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rafelson of Oak Drive left on Saturday
to spend the winter months on Normandy Isle, Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mayer of Pinehurst Ave. have gone to
Miami for about a month. En route home, they will visit their
children in Charleston, S. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Sol A. Wolff of Lawrence Ave. were hosts for
several days to Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Moses and children, of Chi-
cago.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kohn of Cleveland spent several days at
the Sheraton-Cadillac with Mr. and Mrs. Abe Shiffman.
Mrs. Sidney J. Allen of Lincolnshire Road honored her new
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jay Warren Allen, with a tea at the Shera-
ton-Cadillac on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Aston of Wildemere Ave. left this week
for Miami Beach where they will remain through the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Braver of Glynn Court are leaving for a
week's holiday in New York and New 'Jersey.'
Dr. and Mrs. Al Weisberg of Wildemere Ave. are expected
back this week from a month's stay at Miami Beach.
Mrs. M. S. Dann, formerly of Calvert Ave., has moved to her
new residence at 651 Merton Road.
Albert Yuzpe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Yuzpe of Windsor,
will celebrate his bar mitzvah Saturday morning at the, Shaar.
Hashomayin Synagogue in Windsor. His parents will be hosts to
members of the family and friends at a dinner in the social hall
on Sunday evening.
Sol A: Dann of Burlingame Ave. has returned from Chicago
where he attended the convention of National Association of
Claimants' Compensation Attorneys.
Elmwood Casino j was the scene of a luncheon meeting called
last Tuesday by the Windsol. Chapter of Bnai Brith Women's
Auxiliary, .headed by Mrs. Al Gaffen. Featured speaker was the
past president of Detroit's Downtown Chapter, Mrs. Max Fried.
Also spotlighted on the program were a 16-year-old talented Wind-
sorite, Nancy Peters, and Elmwood's master of ceremonies, Bernie
Miller.
Jonathan Marwill, son of Mr.' and Mrs. Sidney Marwill of
Pennington Ave., was the Detroit winner in a competition spon-
sored by "Juvenile Jury." For the best 25 word essay on the most
vexing problem of a youngster in the 4 through 11 age group,
Jonathan was awarded a $25 war bond. Also, he will compete with
the winners from 10 other cities for the grand prize, which in-
cludes an all-paid-expense trip to New York and an appearance
on the "Jury" TV program.
Bernard Edelman of Lawrence Ave. will spend the holiday
week in Los Angeles.

Odessa Aid Luncheon
To Be Held Wednesday
