Hadassah's M i n y an drive,
which annually sends funds to
Israel to cover the cost of main-
taining children, is now in full
swing, according to Mrs. Daniel
Siegel, Chapter chairman of Min-
yan mother enrollment.
Minyan me a n s the banding
together of 10 foster mothers
here, each pledging $24, which is
payable at once or in monthly
installments, stressed Mrs. Siegel.
The $240 collected from one
minyan barely covers the cost of
the upkeep of one child for a
year, she added.
Funds sustain Youth Aliyah
youngsters, many of whom ar-
rive in Israel in imp e r f e c t
health, -without clothing and in
deAssed mental conditions.
Through Hadassah's efforts,
and funds, these children are
brought up as alert young people
who will soon be able to do their
part for the building of Israel.
The project, which aims at
the enrollment of all- Detroit
women as foster mothers,, will
conclude with a fashion show of
Israel creations on Jan. 22, at
the Royal Theater.
