Austria Film History

VIENNA (AJP)—Plans to film

a "documentary" picture depict-
ing high spots of 1,000 years of
Austrian history were disclosed
this week coupled with an an-
nouncement that a host of pro-
Nazi, anti-Semitic actors would
be among the cast.
Adding to expected protests
over the inclusion of the pro-
Nazis in the production was the
fact that the two-hour-long
film, cost of which is estimated
at $350,000, will be"paid from the
public treasury under super-
vision of the Ministry of Edu-
cation.
It was disclosed that the
"Australia film" would be di-
rected by Wolfgang Liebeniener,
a one-time pro-Nazi film maker.
