First Break Appears
In Israel Ship Strike
HAIFA, (JTA) — The first
break in the four-week-old
strike of Israeli seaman came
'when the union and the Diz-
engof f Shipping Company
signed an agreement for op-
erating the S.S. Meir Dizen-
goff with its regular crew.
The agreement was concluded
without the intervention of
the Histadrut.
The S.S. Negba left Haifa
with a "volunteer" crew pro-
vided by the Histadrut. The
S.S. Kedma, first vessel to sail
from Israel with such a crew
returned from Marseilles.
