Ex-CHEN Commander to Be Guest
At Pioneer Women's Donor Monday

Miss Mina Rogozik, former
Commander in Chief of CHEN,
Women's Army Corps of Israel,
will be a guest of the Detroit
Council of Pioneer Women at
its donor event at 8:30 p.m.,
Monday, at Masonic Temple, an-
nounced Mrs. Norman Kanter
president.
Miss Rogozik is presently head
of Histadrut's Absorption De-
partment for North Israel, and
. was head of the Haifa Labor
Council for 18 years. She came
to Palestine at 11, and was
reared and educated in Haifa.
She came to this country and
studied several years at the New
York, University. In 1934 she
joined Hagana, and in 1938 dur-
ing the riots she was in charge
of the Women's Battalion of
Haifa.
In World War II, Miss Rogo-
zik was a British Army captain,
serving in the Egyptian territo-
rial service.

Activities in the United Jewish
Folk Schools are now under way
for the semester, and plans are
currently being made for the
school's annual Hanukah cele-
bration. Songs, recitations and
plays for the holiday are being
learned by students. Enrollment
is still open for the grade schools.
