The move was coupled with a disclosure that a local branch of Agudath Israel had convinced directors of a borough Yeshiva to stop selling tickets to the performances of a Broadway Yiddish musical. The Yeshiva went on record in a resolution outlawing any such projects in the future. Under attack from units of Agudath Israel here w a s the show "Bagels and Yox," which was' described as "a low type of entertainment" by a Brooklyn religious leader, David Milstein.
