43-Years - Old; Opens
Two Branch Stores
Established 43 years ago, in
1907, Hadley Finsterwald Co. an-
nounces an expansion move that
marks a milestone in the store's
history. Now open and ready
for business are two branch
stores, located at 3025 Biddle, in
Wyandotte, and at 21645 Grand
River, in Redford.
These two stores are a part of
the Hadley Finsterwald group,
the main store being located
downtown, at 219 Michigan, op-
posite the Book Cadillac Hotel.
The Redford store will be
a managed by Max A. Heath, who
has been an employee of Hadley
Finsterwald for the last 10 years.
Heath brings 4 wide experience
in furniture and related mer-
chandise to this branch store.
The Wyandotte store will be
managed by W. A. Hull, who has
been\ an employee of the firm
for the last 25 years. Hull has
broad experience in furniture,
appliances, rugs and related
home merchandise.
It was emphasized by Hoke
Levin, . general manager of Had-
ley Finsterwald Company, that
these branch stores are actually
downtown stores in the neigh-
borhoods. They will be com-
pletely stocked with merchandise
selections just as the downtown
store.
For -the time being men's and
women's wear will be carried
only at the downtown store: Mr.
Levin stressed that these stores
4 in the neighborhoods will fea-
ture leading nationally adver-
tised merchandise.
All facilities for buying on the
easiest terms will be available
at -ithe new stores. Free parking
is to be had at all stores, and
there will be daily delivery serv-
ice.
The rapid and vigorous growth
of the Hadley Finsterwald Co.
is fittingly tied in with the 250th
Anniversary of Detroit by the
opening of these two new branch
stores, Mr. Levin stated.
