At its annual banquet at La-
char's on Oct. 17, Arlazaroff
Branch of Farband, welcomed
home Mr. and Mrs. Morris Scha-
ver, who recently returned from
Israel as delegates to the World
Zionist Congress, and planned
its season's activities. The ban-
quet was dedicated to the Jew-
ish National Fund.
Harry Schumer announced a
special forest in the name of
Arlazaroff Branch will be plant-
ed in the Forest of Six Million.
He then called on David Sislin
who served as master of cere-
monies and Schaver who re-
ported on the proceedings at the
World Congress sessions.
M. Brandwein, associate sec-
retary of the labor department
of the Jewish National Fund, ac-
claimed the Branch for its reso-
lution to plant 10,000 trees in
the Yaar Hagidoshim, and ex-
plained the work of JNF in ,Is-
rael.
After William Hordes outlined
the plan of action in planting
the forest, 1500 trees were im-
mediately sold.
