Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kolb of Northlawn Ave. left by plane

"Wednesdaffor a week's holiday in New York at the ESsex House.
Mrs.. Harvey Steadman of Lansing is attending the meeting
of the national board of the Federation of Temple Sisterhoods and
the dedication ceremonies of the House of Living Judaism in
New York this week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. L. ,Samuel Philups, of Suffolk Dr., will spend a
month at the Saxony Hotel in Miami Beach.
Mrs. E. Passermax, formerly of Tyler Ave., is now residing in
Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Beltzman, of ClementS Ave., celebrated their
18th wedding anniversary at a party given by their children, Alvin,
Sharon, Rosalie and Idele.
Ramon Gilbert, son of Mr.. and Mrs. Irving Gilbert of 3110
Ewald Circle, Detroit, has been voted president of the sophoniore
class at Brandeis University. Ray, a tackle on the Brandeis football
squad, which met Wayne University in. Detroit last Saturday, was
among members of the squad present at the luncheon Oct. 19, at
the Detroit Leland Hotel. During the past summer Ray studied in
the Choral Department at the Tanglewood Summer School • of
Music.
Miss Doris Marilyn Grayson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. IS.
Goldberg, of Lawrence Ave., recently returned from an extended
vacation in the Smoky Mountains and the Carolinas.
Pvt. Harvey E. Goldberg has returned to Fort Jackson, - South
Carolina, after spending a ten-day furlough with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. S. Goldberg, of Lawrence Ave. Pvt. Goldberg recently
graduated from Brooke Army Medical School at Fort Sam Houston,
Tex., where he was the youngest man in his class, graduating with
highest honors in science.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Hack, of Santa Monica, Calif., were
among the Bnai Brith personalities who presented Mexico's
President, Miguel Aleman, with a citation honoring him as the
man of the year. The . presentation was made Thursday in Mexico
City by the Beverly Hills, Calif. Lodge. Other members of the
party included Louis B. Mayer, George Jessel and Joseph Schenk.
Mr. and Mrs. Hack are former Detroiters, who founded the Hack
Shoe Company offices in Santa Monica.
Mr. and Mrs.. Donald Faternick and son, Bruce, formerly of
Hamilton Ave., are now residing on Condon Ave., Oak Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frank and Stewart. and Ellen, formerly
of Calvert Ave., are now residing at 17408 Woodingham.

Center Musicale Series

The orchestra, which will. play
the overture to Mozart's Mar-
riage of Figaro, is under the di-
rection of Julius Chajes, direc-
tor of the Center's music de-
partment. ,Tickets are available
at the Jewish Community Cen-
ter.

Center Youth Inaugurates
Wednesday Dance Series

"Come on to our dance, to our
dance" will be the theme of the
Wednesday night teen age
dances of the JewiSh Commurii-
ty Center. which will open ar8
p.m., Wednesday at the Davison
Center with the Cubans' mas-
querade frolic. Cubans is a club
of girls 15 to 17 years old.
The program is being planned
by Joan Meister, Judy Zobel and
Rita Schenfield, and decorations
by Eleanore Prady, Sally Talcott,
Paula Rabkin,- Carol Schwartz
and Riyee Weisman. Jocelyn Per=
kis and Elaine Shanbrom are in
charge of publicity, and the food
committee is composed of Junis
Crego and Joyce Pollack. Judy
Crego is president, Rita Schen-
field, secretary; and Paula Rab-
kin, treasurer.
