speaker at the affair will be

nual event will be held at 12:30
p.m., Nov. 19, at Masonic Tem-
ple. Funds are used to carry on
the Auxiliary's veterans' rehabi-
litation program.

A native Detroiter who,
throughout his life, has strictly
adhered to Jewish traditional
living and has helped build
outstanding orthodox and other
community movements, is re-
ceiving the felicitations of oth-
ers, outside the orthodox groups,
including his own associates, on
his 70th birthday.
Isaac Rosenthal, who was
born here Oct. 12, 1881, has won
the esteem of Detroit Jewry for
his sincerity and the devotion
with which he has advanced
congregational activities as well
as social service causes.
As president of the Hebrew
H o s p i tal Association for 12
years, he has been among the
pioneers in the hospital move-
ment here. He also served as
president of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah for three years, as
president of the House of Shel-
ter for eight years and for seven
years as president of Detroit
Mizrachi. He also held the of-
fices of vice-president of Detroit
Mizrachi and vice-president of
Congregation Mogen Abraham,
Hebrew Orphan Home and
American Jewish Congress.
He was for two years the

United Hebrew

Schools and for
nine years was chairman of the
Hebrew Schools' house comit-
tee. For six years he was secre-
tary of the Division Street Beth
Sefer and served on the execu-
tive board of the following:

years), Mizrachi (30 years), He-
brew Schools (25 years), Yeshi-
vath Beth Yehudah (20 years),

Mr. Rosenthal had nine

brothers and sisters. He was
