Mr. and Mrs. Harold Desenberg are settled in their- new abode
at 19902 Stratford Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mayer of Pinehurst Ave. spent a few days
in Cincinnati to visit their father, A. D. Weilberg.
Joseph-Silverstein, son ofMr. and Mrs. Bernard Silverstein, is
leaving this week for Houston, Tex„ where he will act as concert
master with the Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Luckfeldt, formerly of Ward Ave., have
left to establish residence in Los Angeles.
Pvt. Thomas E. Fromm of Camp Atterbury, Indiana, spent a
holiday leave here with members of his family.
Mrs. Harry Conheim of Lawton Ave., is leaving this week for
Providence. R. I., to be the guest-of her son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Conheim. She will go on for a visit with
other members of her family in both Boston and New York before
returning home in several weeks.
Mrs. Mildred Elsas of Milwaukee, Wis., is in Detroit this week
to visit with members of her family and friends.
Joan Grosner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Grosner - of
Shrewsbury Drive, is returning to New York after a 10-day visit
with her parents.
Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Spero, formerly of Birchcest Ave., have
moved to their new residence at 19919 Roslyn Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Baer, former Detroiters, have returned to
their home in South Bend., Ind., after a fortnight's visit here with
various' friends and relatives.
Dr. and Mrs. Victor Kelmenson of Glynn Court were hosts the
past week to their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and. Mrs. Lee
Goldman of Houston, Tex.
Herbert Bales of Los Angeles stopped off in Detroit for a brief
visit with the many members of _his family here.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Neuman and their daughter, Amy, have
returned to their home in Washington, D. C. after a week's visit
with their parents, Dr. and Mrs. David Bittker of Briarcliff Road.
Mrs. Burton Clama.ge of San Juan Drive made a flying trip
to Denver, Colo., for a holiday visit with members of her family
there.
Mrs. Philip Sachs of Baltimore was the house guest of her
. sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Krohn of Wilde-
mere Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Green of Muirland Ave. have returned
from a brief visit via plane with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Rob-
ert Kasle of California. They stopped in Chicago for a week-end.
Ben Shwayder of Fairfield Ave. has returned by air from a few
day's visit with members of his family in Denver, Colo.
Dr. and Mrs. Harry Ruskin of Normandy Ave. have returned
from Topeka, Kans., where they visited their children, Dr. and
Mrs. Elliott Foxman, and saw their new grandson, Eric.
Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Schwartz of Sheffield Road enjoyed a sab-
batical week-end at the Union in Ann Arbor.
Miss Barbara Weinberg daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wein-
berg of Wildemere Ave., has returned from a tour of the East
Coast. She visited with friends in Boston and in Washington,
D. C., and was the house guest of her cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Forrest
Milden, while in Bradford, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loewenberg will receive their friends and
relatives from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at 18675 Birchcrest, prior to
their departure for Miami, Fla., where they will make their
future home.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Lasser of 3226 Sturtevant Avenue an-
nounce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Susanne
Charlotte, to Aaron J. Gellman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H.
Gellman of Richmond, Va. Miss Lasser is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Chicago. Mr. Gellman is a graduate of the University
of Virginia and the Graduate School of the University of Chicago.
The couple will be married Oct. 27 in the Statler Hotel, Washing-
ton, D. C. They will make their new home at 1240 North Quinn
St., Arlington, Va.
Mrs. Leopold Snyder and son have returned from a three
week stay in Chicago where they visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Louis H. Freed, former Detroiters.
Miss Marilyn Lipsitt of West Outer Drive has left for Colum-
bus, 0., where she will attend Ohio State University.
Mrs. Max H. Weksler, formerly of Detroit, and her daughter-
in-law, Mrs. Harold Weksler, of Los Angeles, are visiting friends
and relatives here. They were entertained at an open house given
by Mr. and Mrs. George Zalman, of Cherrylawn Ave., and at an
affair at Lachar's given by Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zalman, at which
close friends and relatives attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gould, of Calvert Ave., announce the ap-
proaching marriage of their daughter, Charlotte, to Herbert Spi-
vak, son of Abraham Spivak. The wedding date is Nov. 4. -
