HAMBURG (JTA) - The trial
of Dr. Philip Auerbach, deposed
head of the Bavarian Restitu-
tion Office, on charges of fraud
in connection with his official
duties, has been postponed for
several more weeks.
A statement from the Bavar-
ian Ministry of Justice asserts
that Dr. Auerbach was involved
in operation of a private news
service with contacts abroad,
and charged that he and "con-
federates" used the agency to
keep watch on public person-
alities.
It also accused him of restitu-
tion transactions with non-
existent persons in the province
of Hesse. He was previously
charged with similar illicit
transactions with non existent
residents of Wuerttemberg.

REALLY A BEAUTY

LONDON, (JTA) - Special se-
curity measures have been taken
by the local authorities in Aden
to prevent Moslem anti-Jewish.
disturbances there, the British
Colonial Office disclosed. Ten-
sion had arisen in the colony
following the elopment of a
young Jewish girl to the home
of a Moslem youth. A report
from the Governor of Aden to
the Colonial Office today stated
that the authorities had brought
the girl home to her
mother but that she had re-
fused to stay there. Brought to
the home of Dr. Cochrane, head
of Aden's medical services, she
again ran away to the young
Moslem's home. A further report
has been asked of the governor,
the Colonial Office said. He ex-
pressed confidence that the Aden.
authorities "will continue to ex-
ercise vigilance in safeguard-
ing the security of the Jewish
community."
