Fram, who was associated with
Temple Beth El for many years
and is one of the leading liberal
Rabbis in the country, has
served the congregation since its
founding. Rabbi Fram founded
in 1925 the Beth El College of
Jewish Studies, the first evening
school for adults in the country,
and is nationally recognized as
an educator and preacher. He
has taken a leading role in the
Zionist movement. As a mem-
ber of the Charter Revision
Committee of the City of De-
troit, he was responsible for the
passage of pensions for city em-
ployees. Rabbi Fram is a mem-
ber of the Religious Committee
of Detroit's 250th Birthday Fes-
tival.
